  5. 1.women are shocked 118 years away from closing the gender gap in terms of labor market opportunity, education, health, and political clout.

    2.in North America, that rate is expected to go up by just 1% in the next 10 years , and in Europe it's expected to remain flat, at 37%' while only 28% of the women in Asia will hold top positions by the year 2025.

    3.to date, only a third of formal small and medium businesses worldwide are run by women according to a report by Goldman Sachs and the global market institute.

    2. 40% of women are expected to makeup the professional workforce within the next 10 years. That means men will make up over half of the workforce. Women are 1.3 times more likely to leave the workforce than their male employees, women quit their jobs more than men do and that's probably because men get paid more than women do.
    3. The Goal of Goldman Sachs 10,000 women aims to help women in the developing world gain access to business education and mentoring which is what most female business owners lack. The current results are the program has reached women in 56 countries. It's passed its goal of 10,000 and it's helped 25,000 women and now has a goal of 100,000 women.

  21. 1)The gender gap is still apparent around the world because the majority of men benefit more than women in the labor, education, health, and political markets. Women around the world deserve more opportunities and should be treated fairly and equally as men.

    2)Some specific numbers the author gave was when they surveyed 3.2 million employees, 1.3 million of whom were women at 583 organizations in 42 countries, women across North America, Europe, Asia, Latin America, Australia, and New Zealand are expected to make up just 40% of the professional workforce in the next decade. this mean that out of 1.3 million 40% are expected to make up the professional workforce in the next decade.

    3)The goal of Goldman Sach’s 10,000 Women was to help women in the developing world gain access to business education, mentoring, and access to capital, which is what women business owners most lack. The current results are women-owned businesses in the developing world don't have the support of financial institutions, creating a credit gap of nearly $300 billion.
